Noah Cole’s practice branches into two strands: one being experimental filmmaking and sound, working with archival footage, Mini DV technology and layered editing techniques to build non-linear narratives. This is balanced with ceramic sculptural work, moving between functional and non-functional vessels to explore form and texture. Across both, Cole is drawn to the absurd and the slightly wrong — everyday material and lived experience, pushed just past sense. Humour sits close to his work; he wants the viewer disarmed before interpreting. Cole has been working on combining these mediums, in installation and video works- and continues to practice in Bristol.
